Rental Terms and Conditions

La Villa Terracotta

1. Purpose

These Rental Terms and Conditions set out the terms for booking and staying at La Villa Terracotta, located at 25 rue Georges Gratiant, Ravine Gens Bois, 97223 Le Diamant, available as a furnished vacation rental.

​

2. Maximum Occupancy

The Villa can accommodate up to 5 guests. The tenant agrees not to exceed this limit, or the rental contract may be terminated without refund.

​

3. Booking

The reservation becomes effective once:

  • These terms and conditions have been accepted

  • A 30% deposit of the total rental amount has been paid

  • Written confirmation is provided (by email or via a booking platform)

The remaining balance must be paid 7 days before arrival, unless otherwise agreed.

4. Cancellation

✅ By the guest:

  • Up to 30 days before arrival: full refund of the deposit

  • Less than 15 days before arrival: deposit is non-refundable

  • No-show: no refund

✅ By the owner:
In the event of force majeure or if we are unable to host the guests, all payments made will be fully refunded. No further compensation will be provided.

5. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in: from 4:00 PM

  • Check-out: before 11:00 AM

These times can be adjusted depending on availability. Any unauthorized late check-out may result in additional charges.

6. Security Deposit

A €750 security deposit may be requested upon arrival (by cheque or bank transfer; not cashed unless damage occurs). It will be refunded within 7 days after departure, minus any costs for repairs or extra cleaning if needed.

7. Use of the Premises

The guest agrees to:

  • Respect the premises and its intended use

  • Not smoke indoors

  • Not host parties or events without prior approval

  • Respect the neighbors and maintain a peaceful environment

  • Not sublet the property

8. Pets

Pets are not allowed.

​

9. Insurance

The guest is responsible for verifying that their home insurance includes coverage for vacation rentals ("villégiature" clause). A proof of insurance may be requested.

​

10. Inventory / Property Condition Report

An inventory and condition report will be completed upon arrival and departure. Any damage observed may be deducted from the security deposit.

11. Included Amenities & Services

The following are provided during your stay:

  • Bed linen, towels, kitchen linens

  • End-of-stay cleaning is not included

  • Wi-Fi access, TV, fully equipped kitchen, etc.

12. Liability

The owner is not liable for:

  • Theft or loss of personal belongings

  • Temporary interruption of water, electricity, or internet beyond our control

  • Accidents occurring in outdoor areas or due to misuse of equipment

​

13. Disputes

In case of a dispute, both parties will first seek an amicable resolution. If no agreement is reached, the competent courts will be those of the property's location.

14. Acceptance

Any reservation implies full and unreserved acceptance of these terms and conditions.
